Q: How long have you been with Jack Lingo, REALTOR®?
I joined the Carrie Lingo Team at Jack Lingo Realtor in December 2019. That decision was completely transformative for my real estate career.
Q. How did you know that Jack Lingo, REALTOR® was the right fit for you?
I tend to thrive in smaller work environments. When I began my career 15 years ago, I worked for a large corporate real estate company which I never felt was the right fit for me. Being asked to join a family-run business was an honor and has been the perfect place for me to thrive and grow. The Lingo family welcomed me in with open arms and it is a joy to work with them.
Q. How do you think Jack Lingo, REALTOR® differs from other real estate companies?
For me, it all boils down to the fact that Jack Lingo, REALTOR® is a family-owned and operated brokerage. It feels as if you’re working with extended family members and the Lingo’s treat each agent with the care and respect you’d experience from your family.
Q. When did you know you wanted to work in the real estate industry?
I developed an appreciation for homes and real estate when I was in middle school. Growing up in New Orleans, a great love and passion of mine has always been historic homes. I love to sketch and design floorplans and home designs. In my younger years, I knew I either wanted to be an architect, builder, or Realtor. I know that I made the right decision!
Q. What has been your proudest moment at Jack Lingo, REALTOR® so far?
Being asked to join Carrie's team.
Q. How long have you been in the real estate business?
I began my real estate career (almost) exactly 15 years ago to the day. Brooks and I were living in Baltimore when I decided to branch out and follow my dreams. While working in the Baltimore and Annapolis region was fun, I truly wanted to work at the beach in a smaller, more close-knit region. My career has taken off as a result of my move to the beach. I’ve never been much for the busy city lifestyle.
Q. Where did you go to college?
The University of New Orleans – I didn’t want to leave my hometown.
Q. Reveal one of your hidden talents.
Interior design.
Q. Name something you could not live without.
Caviar and champagne!
Q. What is your favorite hobby?
I must admit to two–golf and sailing.
Q. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An architect/builder.
Q. If you could build anything, what would it be?
A wooden boat–but I'd hire a professional to make the dream a reality!
Q. If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why would you go there?
Tough question! My favorite destination thus far has been cruising on a sailboat in the British Virgin Islands. That said, I’d like to experience the same somewhere on the Mediterranean, perhaps the Italian or Croatian coasts.
Q. Who is your personal hero?
My husband, Brooks. I could not have asked for a more loving and supportive companion. He is the one who finally encouraged/convinced me to pursue my real estate career.
Q. What is your favorite quote?
“I really don't know why it is that all of us are so committed to the sea, except I think it's because in addition to the fact that the sea changes, and the light changes, and ships change, it's because we all came from the sea. And it is an interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea - whether it is to sail or to watch it - we are going back from whence we came.
