We are excited to announce Caitlin McCarron as our March 2021 Featured Agent! We sat down with Caitlin to hear all about her experiences at Jack Lingo, REALTOR®. Keep reading to learn more!
How long have you been with Jack Lingo, REALTOR®?
Almost 3 years.
How did you know that Jack Lingo, REALTOR® was the right fit for you?
When I first came to work for Jack Lingo, REALTOR®, I had just gotten my license and knew very little about the inner workings of the real estate industry besides what I learned in class. Everyone, especially my colleague Ava Cannon, was super helpful. Even though real estate is very much a solitary job, everyone was helpful in teaching me the ropes.
How do you think Jack Lingo, REALTOR® differs from other real estate companies?
They are a family-owned-and-operated business with deep ties to the area. Talking with Bill Lingo about real estate and life, in general, doesn’t feel like talking to a broker but confidant.
When did you know you wanted to work in the real estate industry?
I had worked for a developer before getting my license, and the natural next step to that position was to work for a builder in sales. I found that, when becoming a REALTOR®, I didn’t have to just push one community to my clients. I could actually help them find the right fit for them. Whether it was based on the location or the layout of the home itself, I could help make their dreams a reality.
What has been your proudest moment at Jack Lingo, REALTOR® so far?
My career is just getting started, but helping my family and friends has been a huge benefit of this job, especially the thrill of helping first-time home buyers. They work so hard to purchase their first home, and being part of that experience is a true honor. The excitement at the settlement table is palpable.
How long have you been in the real estate business?
Almost three years as a REALTOR®, and prior to getting my license I worked for a developer for two years.
Where did you go to college?
Radford University.
Reveal one of your hidden talents.
That's tricky! Besides being able to make some amazing cocktails (not really a hidden talent) I am a decent baker! I absolutely love baking. It is relaxing for me, and having people enjoy the outcome is the icing on the cake (pun intended).
Name something you could not live without.
Besides my family, fiancé, and friends, I would have to say music. Music helps and enhances every situation!
What is your favorite hobby?
I love to ride my bike. When it’s beautiful out, I can ride on the Gordon’s Pond Trail and through Rehoboth Beach all day.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always had an interest in being an interior designer. I was fascinated with re-arranging my room and watching home improvement shows. It's amazing seeing how space can change easily with even just a coat of paint.
If you could build anything, what would it be?
Honestly, I would just love a screened-in porch. If I could build one where I live right now, I would!
If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why would you go there?
Ireland! Both sides of my family have deep roots in Ireland; my uncle even lives there. I would love to explore where my ancestors once lived and take in all the history the country has to offer.
Who is your personal hero?
I know it’s a cliche, but my mom. She is an amazing human, philanthropist, and businesswoman. No one holds a candle to her in my eyes.
What is your favorite quote?
“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty.” – Winston Churchill
